Seeing Christ in the World .... Being Christ in the World

The Worship Group

We are a group who serve two purposes; we run the informal 'Create Space' service once a month and also come together to sing at different occasions during the church year.

Create Space

This service takes place in St Mildred's Church Hall on the second Sunday of the month at 6pm.

It is an informal service with time for prayer, reflection, drama or poetry and is creative in style.

Each month we take a theme and the service includes contemporary worship songs as well as more traditional hymns. The service, which lasts for up to an hour, is led by members of the Worship Group and is also attended by members of the Zion Baptist Church. Our time together always ends with refreshments, which include home baked cakes.

Worship Group

We are an enthusiastic group who draw additional members from the congregation to sing, when requested, during the year. We always sing at Christmas and Easter and rehearsals are usually after the main morning service at St. Mildred's. We sing songs which are easy to learn and rehearsals are relaxed and fun. Anyone is welcome to join us, the only qualification is that you enjoy singing. Most of us do not read music! We are also asked on occasions, to sing at other services and for the first time this year we joined forces with the church choir to sing at the Civic service.
